Discovery is inviting applications for the Long Term Insurance Learnership based in Gauteng.

This learnership leads to a nationally recognised FETC: Long Term Insurance NQF Level 4 qualification. The programme combines structured learning components with practical workplace experience in the financial services industry.

Learners may gain exposure to call centre operations, medical aid client servicing, claims, new business, and health benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured learning activities linked to the Long Term Insurance qualification.
• Complete practical workplace experience in the financial services industry.
• Support call centre-related functions where required.
• Assist with medical aid client servicing.
• Support claims-related administration and client queries.
• Assist with new business processes where required.
• Support health benefits administration.
• Deliver service in a professional and customer-focused manner.
• Work accurately and methodically when handling information.
• Prioritise and complete tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Requirements

• Grade 12 is essential.
• Mathematics with a minimum Level 4 / 50%.
• English with a minimum Level 4 / 50%.
• Mathematical Literacy with a minimum Level 5 / 60%, where applicable.
• Second South African language with a minimum Level 4 / 50%.
• Incomplete tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
• Must not be engaged in post-Matric studies.
• Must not be formally employed.
• Must not have completed any previous learnership.
• Must be between the ages of 18 and 25.
• Must have effective written and verbal English communication skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have basic MS Excel skills.
• Must have basic MS Outlook skills.
