Momentum Health is inviting applications for an exciting Learner opportunity within its Operations environment.
This 12-month work-based learning programme is designed to give unemployed young South Africans the opportunity to gain theoretical knowledge and practical workplace experience in the medical aid administration and insurance industry.
Upon successful completion of the learnership, learners will receive an Occupational Certificate: Health Care Benefits Advisor NQF Level 5, SAQA ID 105030.
The programme is suitable for candidates who are passionate about client service, eager to learn, and ready to develop their potential within an established health business. Completion of the learnership does not guarantee permanent employment, but it provides valuable workplace experience and can help learners prepare for future employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Participate actively in classroom learning sessions.
- Take part in practical on-the-job training.
- Complete tasks aligned with the learnership programme requirements.
- Develop knowledge of the company’s products, policies, and procedures.
- Compile a portfolio of evidence for submission to SETA.
- Maintain detailed logbooks for work-based learning.
- Complete formative and summative assessments successfully.
- Learn and use company systems and operational processes.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Adhere to service level agreements and client service standards.
- Manage client queries accurately and efficiently.
- Support improvements in client service and turnaround times.

Requirements
- Completed Grade 12 / Matric.
- Passed Mathematics with at least 40% or Mathematical Literacy with at least 60%.
- Passed English with at least 50%.
- Passed another South African language with at least 50%.
- Computer literacy will be an advantage.
- Must be unemployed.
- Must be able to commit to a 12-month programme.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 30.
- Must be able to commute to the workplace independently.
- Must not be studying part-time or full-time at tertiary level during the learnership.
- Must not have completed the same learnership previously.
