Absa is inviting applications for the Junior Learner - Home Loans SSE opportunity based in Pretoria.

This 12-month learnership programme is designed for talented and enthusiastic young individuals who are passionate about using technology to support and empower customers in the banking sector.

The programme provides practical workplace exposure within Absa Home Loans, particularly in Sales and Service Enablement areas. Learners will gain experience in customer interaction, service delivery, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and professional banking operations.

Successful candidates must be available for the full 12-month programme and commit to completing all academic modules and on-the-job training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the 12-month Absa Home Loans learnership programme.
• Complete all required academic modules.
• Complete on-the-job training within the Home Loans environment.
• Gain exposure to Home Loans Sales and Service Enablement areas.
• Support customer service activities in a professional banking environment.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and problem-solving ability.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and team members.
• Listen carefully and respond professionally to customer needs.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Pay attention to detail and follow up on assigned tasks.
• Maintain professionalism and courteous conduct.

Requirements

• Must be between the ages of 18 and 30.
• Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident.
• Must have a completed Degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification.
• Business, Commerce, and Management Studies background is required.
• Must be proficient in English.
• Must be unemployed.
• Must not be registered for any other learnership or internship at the time of application.
• Must not be registered with another learning institution.
• Must not be currently studying.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Must be flexible and willing to learn and work.
• Must be available for the full 12-month programme.
• Must attach a detailed CV with relevant contact details and references.
• Must include copies of certificates, identity document, and proof of address.
