Job Description

The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) is inviting unemployed South African graduates to apply for its Internship Programme 2026/28. This 24-month graduate programme is designed to provide practical workplace exposure, skills development, and meaningful experience in the public sector.

The internship is aimed at qualifying graduates who want to strengthen their employability while contributing to a department focused on industrial development, inclusive growth, and economic transformation in South Africa. Successful candidates will be exposed to a professional government environment where they can develop both technical and workplace skills.

Requirements

• Must be an unemployed South African graduate
• Must hold a tertiary qualification at NQF Level 6 and above
• Qualification must be in one of the approved fields of study
