Job Description

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) invites applications for its Work Integrated Learning Programme.

This programme is aimed at TVET college graduates who have completed an N6 National Certificate and require practical workplace training to complete their qualification.

Successful candidates will gain workplace experience within SASSA offices and will be exposed to public service administration, office support, records management, customer service, reporting, communication, and department-specific duties.

The programme helps learners build practical experience in a government work environment while supporting the completion of their TVET qualification.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates may be required to:

• Provide administrative support within the assigned department.
• Assist with filing and records management.
• Capture and update information on office systems.
• Assist with document preparation and correspondence.
• Support customer service and public enquiries.
• Assist with reporting and data collection.
• Support office operations and daily administrative tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Communicate professionally with staff, clients and stakeholders.
• Follow SASSA policies, procedures and workplace rules.
• Complete workplace learning requirements linked to the programme.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Applicants should generally meet the following requirements:

• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must be unemployed.
• Must have completed an N6 National Certificate from a TVET college.
• Must require workplace experience to complete a National Diploma.
• Must not be currently participating in another internship, learnership or WIL programme.
• Must be willing to commit to the full programme duration.
• Must meet the qualification requirements stated in the official advert.
• Must have good communication and administrative skills.
