Description
The Food Service Aid provides catering and cleaning support services within the Ministry. The role involves maintaining hygiene standards, assisting with food preparation and service during meetings, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

- 💰 Salary: R138,486 per annum (Level 02)

Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the food service unit.
- Follow health, hygiene, and safety protocols (OHSA compliance).
- Wash and clean dishes, utensils, microwaves, and refrigerators.
- Assist in preparing and arranging food and beverages for meetings.
- Serve meals and refreshments during meetings and special events.
- Collect and clean used items after meetings.
- Report damaged or faulty equipment.
Requirements
- Grade 10 Certificate / ABET qualification.
- Knowledge of:
- Food service and hygiene standards
- Cleaning procedures
- Occupational Health and Safety
