🧾 Job Description

The Capital Hotels is seeking a professional and service-oriented Receptionist to join its team in Johannesburg.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent front desk service, supporting guest check-ins and check-outs, maintaining guest accounts, and assisting with reservations and guest requests. This role is ideal for someone with hospitality experience who can remain calm under pressure and provide a high standard of guest care.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Guest Service

• Check guests in and out of the hotel
• Welcome guests and provide a professional first point of contact
• Assist guests with special requests and requirements during their stay

Reservations & Guest Accounts

• Maintain guest accounts accurately
• Process guest transactions during their stay
• Assist with reservations when required

Operational Support

• Handle front office duties efficiently and professionally
• Support the hotel team in delivering excellent guest experiences
• Deal with incidents calmly and take appropriate action when necessary

📋 Requirements

• Matric

• Hospitality qualification or similar

• 1 to 2 years of receptionist experience

• Strong computer literacy in:

  • Microsoft Office
  • Reputable PMS system such as Protel

• Ability to work shifts

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to handle pressure and remain calm in challenging situations
