Job Description

The Capital Hotels is inviting applications for a Food & Beverage Waiter position based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing friendly, fast and efficient food and beverage service to guests in the restaurant, room service and function areas where required.

This role is focused on delivering excellent guest service while supporting front-of-house operations and stock-related duties.

The opportunity is suitable for candidates with Matric and previous restaurant experience who are presentable, well spoken, trustworthy, proactive and able to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide food and beverage service to guests.
• Serve guests in the restaurant area.
• Assist with room service duties where required.
• Support food and beverage service in function areas where required.
• Deliver service in a friendly, fast and efficient manner.
• Support front-of-house operations.
• Assist with stock-related duties where required.
• Communicate effectively with hotel guests and staff members.
• Work as part of a team to deliver excellent guest service.
• Maintain a professional and presentable appearance.
• Remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Follow hotel service standards and workplace procedures.

• Matric.
• Previous restaurant experience is essential.

Important Note

Relocation costs will be for the applicant’s own expense if the application is successful and the applicant lives outside the city where the hotel is located.
