Job Description
The City of Johannesburg is inviting applications for EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Site Coordinators short-term contract positions.
These opportunities fall under the Department of Health, within the Public Health Branch.
The successful candidates will support the implementation of the HIV/AIDS Door-to-Door Education Programme in priority wards.
Site Coordinators will help ensure that the programme is implemented at ward and household level, support educators, monitor activities, record fieldwork information and report activities to the Regional Health Department.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4.
- Must be youth between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Must have 1 year relevant experience in HIV/AIDS Door-to-Door Education.
- Knowledge of the City’s processes, best practices, policies and procedures on health and social issues.
- Numeric skills.
- Good writing skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use electronic devices.
- Ability to send text messages.
- Ability to send emails.
- Ability to use the internet.
- Must reside in one of the listed wards.
- Must provide proof of residence in the listed ward.
- Must submit a note from the ward councillor or an affidavit signed by an authorised body.
- Must submit an affidavit confirming no criminal record.
Primary Function
The primary function of the EPWP Jozi Ihlomile Site Coordinator is to participate in the implementation of the HIV/AIDS Door-to-Door Education Programme in priority wards.
The role includes supporting the education and referral of community members, monitoring and controlling programme activities at ward level, and recording and reporting the activities of fieldworkers to the Regional Health Department.
