The Animal Health Technician: Animal Health: Boland (Khayelitsha) position is based at Boland, Western Cape and forms part of Western Cape Government - Department Of Agriculture. The role carries out the responsibilities and service-delivery functions described below.

Responsibilities

• Animal Disease Control
• Import and Export Policy Control Perform Epidemiology investigations
• Veterinary Public Health
• Animal welfare

Requirements

• An appropriate National Diploma/B-Degree in Animal Health
• A minimum of 1-year appropriate post-qualification experience
• Compulsory registration as an Animal Health Technician with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC) in the appropriate field
• A valid driving licence (Code EB or higher)

• Good planning and organisational skills
• Good interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
