Job Summary

Pick n Pay is recruiting for the Learner SC opportunity based at the Eastport Distribution Centre in Ekurhuleni. This is a 12-month SETA-funded learnership aimed at unemployed young people who want to gain practical workplace experience in a professional retail and distribution environment.

The programme is designed to help participants develop workplace skills, professional values, and exposure across a range of disciplines. It is ideal for South African youth who have completed Matric and are looking for an opportunity to grow personally and professionally while building experience for future career opportunities.

Job Description

The Learner SC programme offers unemployed youth the opportunity to participate in a structured 12-month learnership within Pick n Pay. The programme is intended to provide workplace exposure, support personal and professional growth, and help learners gain valuable experience in a dynamic business environment.

Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate professional behaviour, positive attitudes, and the ability to develop both business understanding and technical competence. The learnership is one of Pick n Pay’s development pathways aimed at identifying and growing future talent within the organisation.

Requirements

• Must have Matric / Grade 12
• Must be between 18 and 34 years old
• Must be unemployed
• Must not have previously completed or participated in a learnership
