The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is inviting applications for an SCM Clerk: Financial Reporting Logistics position based at the Head Office in Pretoria.

The successful candidate will support financial reporting and logistics administration within the Supply Chain Management environment. The role includes assisting with open voucher reports, interim and annual financial statements, BAS and SAGE reports, LOGIS commitments, accruals, filing of supporting documentation, and resolving reporting and compliance queries.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with a Grade 12 / Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification who are organised, computer literate, trustworthy, and interested in financial reporting and supply chain administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the compilation of Open Voucher Reports for monthly, interim, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure reports are reported on time.
• Request reports from BAS and SAGE for Service Provider and Client invoiced accruals.
• Compile travel management company invoiced accruals.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly LOGIS commitment updates.
• Ensure supporting documentation is received and properly filed for easy reference.
• Ensure all queries related to reporting and compliance are resolved within the required timeframe.
• Perform other duties related to the implementation of supply chain management processes.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• No experience required.
• Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act.
• Knowledge of the Code of Conduct for Supply Chain Management Practitioners.
• Knowledge of Treasury Regulations.
