Mukuru is inviting applications for its Customer Support Learnership programme. This opportunity is designed for candidates who want to gain real-world workplace experience while building practical customer service, communication, and fintech support skills in a structured learning environment.

The programme combines hands-on customer support exposure with workplace learning in areas such as money transfer support, account onboarding, contact centre operations, and compliance basics. Learners will work with real customer queries across different regions while developing confidence, professionalism, and problem-solving ability.

This learnership is ideal for candidates who are passionate about customer service, interested in fintech, and eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced support environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with their queries through calls and digital channels
• Help customers create and manage money transfer orders
• Provide clear and helpful information about Mukuru services
• Learn to use systems such as Zendesk for ticketing and support
• Identify customer needs and provide suitable solutions
• Escalate queries where necessary and follow up with customers
• Assist with account creation and onboarding processes
• Build practical communication, problem-solving, and customer support skills
• Learn how to manage time, multitask, and work under pressure
• Gain exposure to compliance basics such as FICA and money transfer processes

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Good communication skills in English and one of the following:
  • Chewa
  • Mozambican Portuguese
  • Mandarin
  • Bengali
  • Sotho
  • Bemba
  • Shona
  • Urdu
• Passion for customer service and helping people
• Basic computer skills
