Description
NBCRFLI is hiring a Facilities Intern based in Braamfontein, Gauteng.
The Facilities Intern will assist with providing NBCRFLI with the building infrastructure required to support operational delivery.
The role involves supporting the planning, acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of fixed property, while assisting with compliance related to health and safety legislation and other regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of facilities management.
- Acquaint oneself with conducting regular inspections of the buildings.
- Assist in the implementation and management of a planned maintenance schedule.
- Support in coordinating repairs, maintenance, and service providers.
- Provide assistance with vehicle fleet management, including monitoring usage, scheduling services, and maintaining vehicle records.
- Assist in administrative functions within the Administration & Facilities section.
- Monitor workplace occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Conduct OHS inspections and incident investigations.
- Assist in managing off-site filing services in line with retention legislation and NBCRFLI policies.
- Compile daily and weekly reports to the Manager.
- Attend Facilities meetings.
- Assist in maintaining asset records for furniture and office equipment.
- Support the team in space planning and office moves.
- Handle stock control documentation.
- Manage own work by ensuring that deadlines are met and work meets the required standard.
- Compile a personal development plan and portfolio of evidence to review progress and monitor the quality of own work.
- Ensure all information is filed, updated, and readily available as required.
- Conduct ad-hoc tasks as assigned by respective line management.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate.
- Must have a 3-year National Diploma and/or Degree in Facilities Management or related built environment qualification at NQF Level 6.
