Job Description
DHL Express is seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented NCG (Network Control Group) Agent to join its operations team in Kempton Park. This role sits at the core of DHL’s global air network, ensuring seamless coordination of flight movements and maintaining service excellence across international logistics operations.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in monitoring network performance, coordinating inbound and outbound activities, and ensuring accurate communication across global stakeholders. This position requires strong decision-making ability, precision under pressure, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Network Communication & Coordination
- Communicate operational updates, disruptions, and changes across the global network
- Liaise with Gateways, Hubs, Stations, Ground Handling Agents (GHA), and Operators
- Provide timely contingency plans to maintain service continuity
Flight Operations Management
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound flight activities
- Ensure outbound flights are loaded according to plan and flag deviations early
- Manage inbound alerts and recovery processes efficiently
Systems & Operational Accuracy
- Maintain accurate updates in systems such as CALMS, NMIV, and flight planning tools
- Ensure strict compliance with GSOP, GAPS, and global operational standards
- Monitor operational risks and escalate issues when necessary
Decision-Making & Problem Solving
- Make operational decisions in collaboration with the NCG Supervisor
- Apply sound judgement to protect network stability and service performance

Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
- Relevant experience in logistics, aviation, or network operations (advantageous)
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays (if required)
- High level of accountability and professionalism
