Job Description

The Free State Department of Education is inviting applications for the State Accountant: Infrastructure Delivery Management position at Head Office in Bloemfontein.

This opportunity falls under the Directorate: Infrastructure Finance Sub Directorate and is suited to a candidate who can support infrastructure finance administration, financial compliance, and records management within infrastructure programmes and projects.

The successful candidate will assist with infrastructure financial analysis, administration of infrastructure programmes and projects, compliance with financial prescripts, and maintenance of financial documentation for audit purposes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with extracting and analysing relevant infrastructure financial information.
• Provide financial administration for all infrastructure programmes and projects.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with financial policies and prescripts relating to infrastructure.
• Update and maintain a document management system for all financial documentation.
• Ensure that financial documentation complies with the requirements of the Auditor-General.

Requirements

• BCom Degree with Accounting II
• National Diploma in Accounting with Accounting II
• Or an equivalent qualification
