The Youth Employment Service (YES) – Safety role provides unemployed South African youth with workplace exposure and practical experience in the Health & Safety field. The position supports safety operations, compliance, and administrative duties within the Safety Department.

Responsibilities

Assist with health and safety administration and record-keeping
Support monitoring of safety procedures and compliance
Participate in safety inspections and reporting
Assist with incident documentation and follow-ups
Support general departmental duties as required

Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric certificate
Qualification in Health & Safety
South African citizen aged 18–35
Currently unemployed and not previously part of the YES programme
Residing in Germiston, eMalahleni, Kathu, Kolomela, or Pinetown
Willing to complete online assessments and background checks
