Job Description
Managed People Solutions is inviting unemployed youth to apply for its Wholesale and Retail Operations Learnership Programme.
These learnership opportunities are designed to help young people gain practical workplace experience in the retail sector while completing a National Certificate in Wholesale and Retail Operations at NQF Level 2.
Successful candidates may be placed in retail environments, including the Merchandising Department, where they will gain hands-on experience in stock handling, product checks, merchandising activities, store calls, customer feedback, and retail operations.
The programme runs for 12 months and offers structured workplace learning, skills development, on-the-job training, networking opportunities, and a monthly stipend of R3,500.

Responsibilities
- Participate in the 12-month Wholesale and Retail Operations Learnership Programme.
- Gain practical workplace experience in a retail environment.
- Support merchandising activities in retail stores.
- Determine stock to be merchandised.
- Draw stock requirements.
- Check product quality, vintage, shelf life, stock rotation, and price tags.
- Execute merchandising activities according to the cycle brief.
- Accurately record merchandising activities.
- Execute store calls according to the call cycle.
- Provide feedback on customer complaints, queries, and requests.
- Communicate and maintain knowledge of products and promotions.
- Advise the Regional Sales Manager on out-of-stock products.
- Participate in skills development and on-the-job training.
- Build professional workplace skills in a structured environment.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude during the programme.
Requirements
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 28.
- Must have completed National Senior Certificate / Matric.
- Must be unemployed.
- No prior work experience is required.
- Must be willing to learn and grow in a professional environment.
- Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous but is not compulsory.
- Must be motivated and eager to build a career in retail.
