Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is inviting applications for an Unemployed Learner Visual Merchandiser opportunity based in George, Eastern Cape.
This learnership provides structured, work-based learning to help participants develop commercial knowledge and practical merchandising skills.
The successful learner will support customer service, order-taking, sales execution, merchandising standards, product visibility and in-store brand presentation within a designated geographical area.
The role reports to the Account Developer and includes interaction with sales team members, customers, consumers and sales leadership.

Purpose of the Learnership
The purpose of the learnership is to equip learners with commercial acumen and practical skills to:
- Service customers.
- Grow volume.
- Facilitate the order-taking process.
- Implement merchandising standards.
- Execute merchandising activities.
- Monitor merchandising standards for direct and indirect customers.
Key Responsibilities
In-Store Execution and Merchandising
- Execute daily call schedules across assigned bronze and tin outlets.
- Ensure activities are aligned with planned call objectives.
- Implement visual merchandising standards.
- Support stock rotation.
- Set up and maintain in-store displays according to brand guidelines.
- Ensure product quality, availability and visibility.
- Follow RED and execution scorecard standards.
- Complete the iRED survey.
- Support and educate customers on placing orders through the MyCCBA platform.
- Assist with promotional activities to improve brand visibility.
- Provide relief support when required and directed by the line manager.
Interaction Within and Outside the Company
The learner will interact with:
- Sales Team Members: To collaborate on daily tasks and share knowledge.
- Sales Account Developer: To receive guidance, training and feedback on performance and safety protocols.
- Consumers: To understand consumer preferences and behaviours that support sales strategies and product development.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy, minimum pass rate of 40%.
- Grade 12 communication subjects with English and a second language, minimum pass rate of 40%.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be available to work six days a week.
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Must have no criminal record.
- Must have no adverse credit record.
- Must consent to criminal, ID and qualification verification checks.
- Must not be enrolled in any current learnership programme.
- Must not be enrolled in full-time studies.
- Must not have previously completed the same qualification or learnership at another company or organisation.
- Must be unemployed at the time of appointment.
Advantageous
- Driver’s licence will be advantageous and may be required for travelling to different stores.
- A post-matric qualification in Sales and Marketing will be advantageous.
Qualification Information
A learner completing this qualification needs to obtain a minimum of 120 credits to qualify for the qualification.
The learnership runs over a period of 12 months.
