Job Description

OUTsurance is inviting applications for the OSS Hastings Learnership based in Centurion, South Africa.

This is an 18-month structured work-based learnership programme designed to give unemployed youth practical workplace experience within the financial services and insurance industry.

The programme is ideal for candidates who are passionate about call centre work and want to gain practical experience that can support a future career in the insurance sector.

Successful applicants will enter into a fixed-term learnership agreement with OUTsurance and will receive a monthly stipend of R9 000.

Please note that this is a learnership agreement and not a permanent employment contract.

Programme Purpose

The purpose of the learnership is to provide unemployed youth with workplace experience and an opportunity to practise work skills that can support future career opportunities.

The programme is aimed at candidates who want to gain experience in a call centre environment and build a career in the financial and insurance industry.

Working Hours

Learners will be required to work shifts according to a pre-determined roster.

The working schedule may include:

• Friday to Monday shifts of 9 hours.
• Saturday shifts of 8 hours.
• Sunday shifts of 5 hours.
• Two weekdays off, which may be Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
• One day per week dedicated to full qualification training on-site.

Public Holidays

Learners may be required to work a full day during South African public holidays if scheduled, unless it is a public holiday in the United Kingdom.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• No work experience required.
• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
• Must not have previously participated in a learnership with INSETA.
• Must have been unemployed in the last 6 months.
• Must have an interest in call centre work.
• Must have an interest in the financial services and insurance industry.
