Air Products South Africa is inviting applications for Chemical Plant Machine Operator Learnership opportunities at its Mid-Vaal Facility.

There are 2 learnership opportunities available within the Packaged Gases department.

This 12-month programme is designed for young individuals who are eager to develop their skills in plant operations while gaining practical workplace experience in a dynamic petrochemical manufacturing environment.

Successful learners will be placed on a Chemical Plant Machine Operator Learnership Programme and will receive practical exposure within Air Products South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the 12-month Chemical Plant Machine Operator Learnership Programme.
• Gain practical workplace experience in plant operations.
• Learn and apply basic plant operation processes.
• Follow workplace instructions and operational procedures.
• Support production and packaged gases operations where required.
• Work safely in line with company standards.
• Develop practical skills within a petrochemical manufacturing environment.
• Work as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must have Matric / Grade 12 with Maths and Science.
• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must be between the ages of 22 and 30.
• Must be unemployed.
• Must have never participated in any learnership programme before.
• Must reside in or around Meyerton and surrounding areas within a 40km radius of the Mid-Vaal Facility.
