Job Description

The National Credit Regulator (NCR) is inviting applications for two Financial Administrator positions on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with an accounting or finance background who want to gain experience in a structured regulatory environment.

The role focuses on supporting finance and registration-related processes, including updating registrant profiles, confirming payments, processing creditors, handling supplier queries, and assisting with asset verification. This opportunity is well suited to a detail-oriented and professional candidate who can work accurately, communicate clearly, and support compliance-driven financial administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with proper updates of registrants’ profiles
• Attend to registrant queries via email or walk-in enquiries
• Assist in confirming payments received for new registrations, additional branches, and replacement certificates
• Assist with accurate and timely processing and payment of creditors
• Handle enquiries from suppliers
• Ensure creditors are paid on time in line with PFMA and National Treasury regulations
• Assist with physical verification of assets
• Support the finance department with ad-hoc tasks when required

Requirements

• Relevant Degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• At least 1 year of relevant experience

Knowledge

• Understanding of the National Credit Act
• Basic knowledge of Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP)
• Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures
• Knowledge of accounting software, with Great Plains as an added advantage
