Job Description

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is inviting applications for a First Line Processing Technician position based in Roodepoort, Gauteng.

The successful candidate will process blood donations into first line and specialised blood products within agreed time frames and according to required quality standards.

The role also includes controlling and supplying blood products to blood banks while ensuring that service delivery to internal and external customers is optimised.

Key Performance Areas

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Supporting operational objectives.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have one of the following:

• Matric with Mathematics and one Science subject.

OR

• Laboratory Assistant Learnership.

Special Requirements

Applicants must be able to meet the following requirements:

• Work overtime as and when required.
• Work shifts and weekends as scheduled.
• Travel locally and nationally when required.
• Be generally physically healthy.
