Job Description

The Department of Defence is inviting applications for the position of Provisioning Administration Clerk: Production within the Defence Policy, Strategy and Planning Division in Erasmuskloof, Pretoria.

The successful candidate will provide supply chain management support services within the division. This includes supporting asset management, demand and acquisition services, logistical support, and reporting on supply chain management activities.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification, computer literacy, good communication skills, planning ability, and an interest in supply chain administration within the public sector.

Responsibilities

• Render supply chain management support services.
• Provide general clerical support within the Defence Policy, Strategy and Planning Division.
• Render asset management support services.
• Support demand and acquisition services.
• Provide logistical support.
• Report on supply chain management activities.
• Assist with administrative duties related to supply chain processes.
• Maintain records and documentation related to supply chain management.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Support compliance with relevant public sector policies, legislation, regulations, and acts.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Perform duties in line with operational requirements.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
• No experience required.
• Supply Chain Management certificate will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant public sector policies, legislation, regulations, and acts.
