Job Description

PPC Aggregates is offering learnership opportunities as part of its commitment to skills development and education. The programme is designed for Fitter and Turner engineering students who need practical training to support their trade development.

Successful candidates will gain workplace exposure in operational engineering environments and will be expected to apply their technical knowledge, assist with practical tasks, and develop their skills through structured workplace learning. Learners must also be available to attend training at the PPC Technical Skills Centre in Mahikeng when required.

Responsibilities

• Participate fully in the Fitter and Turner learnership programme
• Apply engineering theory to practical workplace tasks
• Support technical and operational activities as required
• Attend training at the PPC Technical Skills Centre in Mahikeng when required
• Assist with projects and engineering-related workplace challenges
• Be willing to support additional tasks when needed
• Deliver good customer service where applicable
• Work overtime when required
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment

Requirements

• Must have Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics and Science at 50%

  or

• Must have N2 with 4 subjects relevant to the trade:

  • Fitter & Machining Trade Theory
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Engineering Drawing

• Must have a valid driver’s licence

• Must be basically computer literate
