Job Description

The Department of Home Affairs is inviting applications for the Provisioning Administration Clerk position based at Head Office in Tshwane. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who can support procurement administration, provisioning processes, and supply chain operations in a government environment.

The successful candidates will assist with processing orders, verifying documentation, maintaining accurate records, supporting LOGIS transactions, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies, Treasury requirements, and legislative standards. This role is suited to detail-oriented candidates who can work accurately, follow procedures, and contribute to efficient supply chain administration.

Responsibilities

• Process orders on LOGIS and manual orders
• Verify ICN numbers, quotations, and supporting documents
• Ensure correct placement of orders to the relevant supplier
• Process transactions in accordance with standard operating procedures, legislative requirements, and procurement policy
• Ensure requisitions comply with procurement regulations and delegations of authority
• Ensure specifications are correctly linked to the correct ICN number
• Manage records, files, and documentation according to DHA and Treasury requirements
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of transactions
• Provide administrative support to the unit
• Review and validate supporting documentation such as requisitions, quotations, and approvals before capturing LOGIS orders
• Support the authorization of LOGIS orders and procurement advice
• Verify the validity of quotations before processing orders
• Render logistical services

Requirements

• An undergraduate qualification at NQF Level 5 as recognized by SAQA
• Knowledge of the Constitution
• Knowledge of Treasury Regulations
• Knowledge of internal performance evaluation and reporting
• Knowledge of good governance and Batho Pele Principles
• Knowledge of diversity management
• Knowledge of labour and employment legislation
• Knowledge of Public Service Regulations
