Job Description

The Gauteng Department of Health is inviting applications for the position of Material Recording Clerk within the Logistics and Support Directorate at Pholosong Regional Hospital.

The successful candidate will support supply chain and inventory administration by updating bin cards and stock cards, issuing stock, compiling monthly reports, capturing Goods Received Vouchers, maintaining inventory lists, assisting with stock receiving, supporting asset verification, and helping with procurement-related documentation.

This role is suitable for candidates with Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification, computer literacy, good communication skills, and an interest in supply chain administration within a hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Update bin cards and stock cards.
• Issue stock according to required procedures.
• Compile monthly stock and supply chain reports.
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and stakeholders.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Consolidate demand plans and procurement plans for the hospital.
• File Supply Chain Management records.
• Capture Goods Received Vouchers.
• Update inventory lists.
• Assist with ordering approved equipment according to regulations.
• Assist with receiving stock.
• Support asset verification processes.
• Assist with requests for quotations.
• Assist with preparing documents for the Quotation Adjudication Committee.
• Support the management of the work cycle.
• Perform supply chain and logistics support duties as required.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• No experience required.
• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of government Supply Chain Management policies will be an added advantage.
• Previous EPWP experience will be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships.
• Ability to work with stock records and inventory information.
• Willingness to work in a hospital supply chain environment.
