The Gauteng Department of Health is inviting applications for a Data Capturer position at Cullinan Care and Rehabilitation Centre.
This opportunity falls under the Nursing Department: HAST ART Clinic.
The successful candidate will support health information management by capturing, validating, reconciling, analysing and reporting health data.
The role includes working with systems such as Web-DHIS, compiling monthly and quarterly reports, improving data quality, supporting data reconciliation, training staff on data collection and ensuring accurate client data capturing.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
- Knowledge of Health Information Management.
- Knowledge of data validation.
- Knowledge of data interpretation.
- Knowledge of computer packages.
- Microsoft Word knowledge.
- Microsoft Excel knowledge.
- Microsoft PowerPoint knowledge.
- Microsoft Access knowledge.
- Proof of computer package knowledge must be attached.
- Knowledge of information management processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of data collation.
- Knowledge of data processing.
- Knowledge of data reconciliation.
- Knowledge of data analysis.
- Knowledge of data presentation.

Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring reliable information reporting.
- Ensuring timely information reporting on the National Tertiary Services Grant.
- Ensuring timely reporting on Web-DHIS.
- Generating monthly reports on the National Tertiary Services Grant.
- Generating quarterly reports on the National Tertiary Services Grant.
- Generating monthly reports on Web-DHIS.
- Generating quarterly reports on Web-DHIS.
- Compiling summaries of activities on DHIS.
- Compiling monthly mother and child data.
- Improving data quality.
- Training staff in data collection.
- Providing feedback on data quality.
- Standardising the filing of reported data.
- Validating data by comparing DHIS and monthly summaries.
- Implementing SOPs effectively to improve data quality.
- Improving data completeness.
- Performing data reconciliation with all reporting units.
- Administering Health Information Management tools.
- Monitoring utilisation of Health Information Management tools by end-users.
- Evaluating utilisation of Health Information Management tools by end-users.
- Collecting data.
- Collating data.

- Verifying submitted data with data sources on a daily basis.
